Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) is looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to support the Systems Architecture Design and Integration Directorate (SADID) in Tewksbury. The Integrated Air and Missile Defense Systems (IAMDS) Department supports IDS by providing world class Weapon Systems Engineering. Domain Expertise includes Radar Systems, Effector Systems, Battle Management, Command and Control, Communications, Network Design, Battlespace Integration and Interoperability for Domestic and International Customers.

Job Description:
Administrator for Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) Tool Suite and classic DOORS. Responsibilities include:
  • Configuration, control, management and architecture of the DOORS databases and tools environment
  • Development project database and integration of new IBM tool suite
  • Account creation and management
  • Development and implementation of training materials
  • Creation of batch files and scheduled tasks to be used for DOORS automation
  • Troubleshoot data corruption
  • Maintain version updates for all tools and ensure compatibility
  • Develop and tailor process and solutions across multiple products
  • Gather lessons learned and develop best practices for use by other programs
  • Learn new Agile Tool Suites
This position can be a Salary Grade G09 or G10 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of experience in the configuration and management of DOORS databases and tools, or similar environment
  • Proven analytical skills and the ability to understand and troubleshoot complex database configuration and performance problems
  • Proven ability to develop, document, and maintain processes, methods and tools
  • Excellent communication, writing, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to navigate CDT (Common DOORS Toolkit) scripts for functionality and identify enhancements needed by programs
  • Ability to create new DXL (or Java for DNG) scripts to extract data for special program needs
  • Knowledge of the Common DOORS Toolkit (CDT) and Raytheon generated DOORS scripts
  • Knowledge of Programming Languages (DXL, C, Java)
Required Education (including Major):
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics area
