Then you might be ready to be an engineer working in integration, test and validation activities within Raytheon’s IDS Systems Validation, Test and Analysis Directorate (SVTAD).

The Systems Validation, Test, and Analysis Directorate (SVTAD) is the central focus for all integration, verification, validation and test activities within Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). The more than 700 employees of SVTAD provide their expertise to ensure customer success through the design, development and execution of innovative and comprehensive test, verification and validation strategies, processes, tools and techniques. SVTAD employees are involved in all aspects of test including: design-for-test, integration, subsystem, and component level testing through Customer sell-off of IDS' most sophisticated systems and technologies.

Job Description:

The Systems Engineer will support a System Integration and Test team with providing technical support for the planning, execution, sell-off, and reporting of system level integration and test activities for a complex radar system. Develop detailed integration information sheets; developing detailed verification information sheets, along with the associated plans and procedures and test cases. Perform and complete Doors requirements in database assigning attributes to the requirements for IV&V verification methods along with the completion of the Verification Cross Reference Matrix. Collaborate and communicate with team to execute and complete IV&V tasks.

This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 4 years engineering experience with radar integration and test

Experience with Integration and Test on complex radar systems

Experience with MATLAB and DOORS

Required: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience as a task, project or program lead
  • Experience with Microsoft applications
  • Effective written and verbal communication, customer focus, collaboration, and multitasking skills
  • Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline
