The Systems Validation, Test, and Analysis Directorate (SVTAD) is the central focus for all integration, verification, validation and test activities within Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). The more than 700 employees of SVTAD provide their expertise to ensure customer success through the design, development and execution of innovative and comprehensive test, verification and validation strategies, processes, tools and techniques. SVTAD employees are involved in all aspects of test including: design-for-test, integration, subsystem, and component level testing through Customer sell-off of IDS' most sophisticated systems and technologies.
The SRSI department is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide support and test expertise on the System Integration and Test team. This Systems Engineer will provide technical support with the planning, execution, sell-off, and reporting of system level integration and test activities for a complex radar system.
- developing detailed integration information sheets and detailed verification information sheets
- prepare plans and procedures and test cases
- perform work on DOORS requirements database assigning attributes to the requirements for IV&V verification methods along with the completion of the Verification Cross Reference Matrix.
This position can be a Salary Grade G06 or G07 based on the candidate's qualifications, as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
·Minimum of 18 months of engineering experience work with integration or test
·Experience with Integration and/or Test of systems, creating test scripts and/or conducting performance analysis
·Experience with programming in MATLAB, C/C++, other programming languages
·Active Security Clearance or obtain US Department of Defense Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship status is required for a U.S. Security Clearance) as of day one of employment.
·Experience with DOORS or related database
·Experience with Microsoft applications
·Effective written and verbal communication, customer focus, collaboration, and multitasking skills
·Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies
·Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline
·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline
