Job Description

Location: Troy Michigan Security Clearance: None / Not Required Raytheon Professional Services (RPS) is looking for an Automotive Technical Subject Matter Expert in their Troy, MI office with experience in the aftermarket repair service field. This position works closely with a curriculum development team and other automotive subject matter experts to research, develop and validate technical training courses. The final candidate will have strong all around knowledge of automotive systems with in-depth experience in powertrain, electrical, HVAC and braking systems.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum four years’ automotive aftermarket service technician experience
  • Master ASE certification in all areas A1 through A8, and L1
  • Understanding of the typical aftermarket automotive service environment including non-technical processes and procedures
  • Experience mentoring or instructing other technicians
  • Technical writing experience
  • Highly motivated and task driven, self-starter
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimum supervision
  • Ability work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Desired Skills:
  • ASE certification A9
  • Technical experience/knowledge of European or Asian brands
  • Additional training and/or hands on service experience with any of the following:
    • engine performance
    • advanced vehicle technologies
    • hybrid electric
    • diesel
  • Working knowledge of Adobe software products
  • Understanding of a typical training center environment
Required Education:
  • Associates degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent
  • High School diploma with eight years automotive aftermarket technician experience may be considered in lieu of degree

This position requires the successful candidate to report to the Troy, Michigan office Monday through Friday, relocation assistance is not available. 113527
