As a member of the Supplier Quality leadership team of the Mission Assurance function, you will lead a team responsible for verification of purchased material requirements and associated processes & infrastructure.
Specific responsibilities include leadership, management, oversight, team development and coordination of all IDS Supplier Quality processes associated with Material Verification & Test executed at all IDS locations or through third party agencies. This includes management oversight of the third party agency relationships.
This position is responsible for managing a two shift operation in Andover, MA, to include incoming inspection and Japan Central Facility (JCF) outbound inspection operations. These areas are comprised of close to 100 employees, a majority of which are represented by a collective bargaining agreement.
This position will also be an active member of Enterprise councils, teams and other project teams as appropriate. This position requires local travel between Massachusetts sites with occasional domestic travel in the US.
·12+ years in quality or related engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain discipline
·Leadership experience of 50 to 100+ member multi-disciplined teams including IBEW (or equivalent) represented workforce.
·Direct experience with managing core Quality tasks (planning, control, and improvement)
·Strong leader that exhibits presence and influence
·Independent, self-motivated individual with demonstrated success in leading teams
·Strong employee development skills
·Experience in a production environment for entire product life cycle including emphasis on Supplier development and management and Quality planning
·Experience with operations, including resource planning.
·Experience with a represented workforce or union environment.
·Strong presentation skills and proven success in communications at all levels
·Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action experience
·General Statistical Process Control knowledge including implementation
·General knowledge of aerospace / defense products and systems technologies, regulations and standards
·Expertise in solving complex problems using 6 Sigma Methodologies and Lean principles and tools
·Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI and Mission Assurance Provisions
·Expertise in Preventative tools - SPC, FMEA, QFD, etc.
·Competence in computer skills: EXCEL, WORD, POWER POINT, PROJECT
·Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc)
·MS or MBA preferred
·Ability to obtain a secret clearance Required Education (including Major):
- BS Engineering or Sciences (Physics, etc.)
