Primary responsibilities include root cause failure analysis of Raytheon products including assemblies, components and manufacturing materials. Specific responsibilities include testing and diagnosing products at the component and assembly level, deprocessing and/or microsection analysis of components and assemblies for internal analysis, theoretical knowledge of various analytical tools including electrical test equipment, optical microscopes, real-time x-ray, scanning electron microscopes, chemical analysis equipment and other testing and analysis tools. The preparation of formal analysis reports will be required. Good interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills are essential. Applicant will lead team of other Raytheon engineers, technicians and subject matter experts of various engineering disciplines to resolve failures and manufacturing issues.
The candidate is expected to work on his or her own with minimal direction. The candidate will be required to multi-task and prioritize work with minimal direction. The candidate will work independently to solve problems and communicate solutions to both co-workers and program customers. Candidate will work directly with customers to clarify requirements, manage priorities and ensure the customer needs are met.
Education Required - Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines (Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry)
MS degree in an engineering field with 3 years of experience. PHD in an engineering field with 2 years of experience.
