Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) seeks a Principal Cyber Security Engineer who will be a Cyber Security Architect. The Cyber Security Architect will apply security knowledge to architect secure and compliant information systems in a cloud environment. This role will support all phases of the system life cycle, following the Risk Management Framework to integrate information security into the architecture and achieve compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of LINUX platform security, AWS security architecture and best practices, and experience implementing security controls consistent with applicable FIPS standards and NIST guidelines.

The position may be based out of Richardson, TX; Aurora, CO; Dulles, VA; or State College, PA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Architecting secure, compliant solutions for systems operating within an AWS cloud computing platform
• Applying cloud security knowledge in support of the design, testing, documentation, compliance assessment, and continuous monitoring phases of the system life cycle
• Managing implementation of system level controls and providing technical guidance to system administrators configuring/hardening the infrastructure
• Communicating application level security control requirements to software developers so they may implement applications that comply with the system and cloud controls
• Supporting the development/update of compliance documentation, security policy/procedures, and continuous monitoring plans
• Supporting ISSOs conducting vulnerability and compliance assessments and developing/managing any required remediation plans

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. CITIZEN with an Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information with CI Poly (TS/SCI with CI Poly) security clearance.

Required Skills and Certifications:
• 6+ years of demonstrated experience in cyber security to include practices/methodologies, associated technologies, application design, and/or experience in an operational environment including NISPOM and/or ICD 503 guidelines, directives and security mandates
• Experience with cyber security engineering projects and programs for U.S. Government and/or commercial clients
• 4+ years hands on experience working with security design and architecture with ability to develop solutions to moderately complex IS compliance and security problems
• Hands-on technical experience as an individual contributor with documentation skills and experience in the following areas:
◦ Linux system administration
◦ ICD-503 A&A and the NIST RMF
◦ FIPS standards and NIST guidelines (e.g. FIPS 200, NIST SP 800-53)
◦ Design and development of cloud-based systems
◦ Software and/or Protocol(s) (LDAP/Active Directory, Nessus, McAfee ePO, RSA NetWitness)

Desired Skills and Certifications:
• Experience with process development and deployment
• Security Certifications in accordance to DoD 8570 (IAT Level I preferred); Security +; CISSP; SANS GSEC
• Hands-on technical experience as an individual contributor with documentation skills and experience in the following areas:
◦ Windows system administration
◦ Network component administration

Required Education:
6 years with a BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical degree; 4 years with a MS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical degree
