The Defense and Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Sr. Program Manager in the National Capital Region.

Leidos has an opening for an experienced Senior Program/Portfolio Manager (PM) to support the DoD Information System (DODIS) Division within the Enterprise & Cyber Solutions Operation. The PM will manage a portfolio with contracts supporting various branches of the DoD. The capabilities delivered by the portfolio will be in line with the overall DODIS portfolio strategy and capabilities including Enterprise Information Technology, Cloud Computing and Cyber Security. The primary work location has flexibility within the Washington DC/Northern VA area, but travel is required to customer locations within the United States. Financial responsibility is revenue of greater than $50M per year.

The PM is responsible for the success of the overall portfolio to include customer engagement, program delivery, delivery of financial results of the portfolio, development of the Leidos staff, and working with Business Development to identify/deliver new business. The PM will work with the individual contract PMs to ensure we have plans in place for all aspects of the programs including staffing, subcontracts, project control, security, processes, customer relationship plans, and program business rhythms. The PM is responsible for developing a strategy with clear objectives that will ensure the programs are “kept sold”, delivers on-contract growth, and identifies, qualifies & delivers leveraging our capabilities with current or adjacent customers.

The PM will report directly to the Division Manager. The PM assists in career development plans for Leidos employees and manages compliance with training requirements and performance reviews. The PM serves as the customer’s escalation point for all issues that may arise on the contracts.

•Delivery of all requirements for all contracts in the portfolio.
•Participate/chair program reviews ensuring plans are in place for identified risks.
•Delivery of Annual Operating Plan targets for awards, revenue and operational income.
•Development of on-contract growth and new business opportunities.
•Establish strong relationships with our senior customers to ensure the programs are ‘kept sold’, explore new opportunities, and address issues if required.
•Development of our employees.
•Ensure all security requirements are adhered to.


•Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of related experience as a Program/Portfolio Manager.
•Experience with Fixed Price, Cost Plus and Time & Materials contracts.
•Experience supporting Government projects delivering Enterprise IT solutions.
•Demonstrated outstanding customer relationship skills.
•Experience developing organization and staff capabilities.
•Currently possess a DoD Secret security clearance or higher.

•Currently possess a relevant advanced degree.
•PMP or other project management certification.
•Experience managing and driving program and financial performance across a portfolio of government Enterprise IT programs.
•Experience with Leidos processes including proposals, program reviews and financial reviews.
•Experience driving on-contract growth and/or new business opportunities.
•Experience providing proposal support to include developing win strategies, teaming strategies, and pricing strategies.
•Demonstrated experience managing a diverse workforce – skills and geography.
