Location: WASHINGTON DC US 20001 Description:

Position Summary:
This position is supporting the Department of Energy – Intelligence and Counterintelligence (DOE/IN) organization with Tier 1 desktop support activities. The Tier 1 range of IT services includes overall desktop and laptop support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, and managed print and multifunction devices services. The desktop support person is also responsible for providing consulting, oversight, and integration support of existing hardware, software, network configurations, and new system initiatives directly to end-users.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a natural born U.S. citizen
Active Top Secret Clearance; SCI Preferred.
Candidate will require an active TS/Q/SCI before work can begin

Primary Responsibilities:

• Setup Varidesks
• Configure and troubleshoot Apple IPhones
• Configure and setup desktop and zero client workstations
• Work with Network team to ensure network connectivity on new workstation installations
• Setup and configure laptops for local presentation and for personnel on travel
• Administer network printers and multifunction devices
• Submit requests for computers, printers, scanners and other desktop accessories as required
• Attend IT operations, project, and facilities workspace allocation meetings

Primary Skills Required:
• Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware, and other equipment including VMWare, thin client and zero client configurations
• Experience supporting a classified network or system in a classified network environment.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office 2010 and 2016 products
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows 10, and Active Directory tools.
• Identify common issues and advise managers of possible trends or commonalities between problems reported.
• Knowledge and experience of customer service practices.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem analysis and solving skills.
• Adaptable and able to work in a high stress / active environment.
• Strong organizational skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of prior relevant experience.
